I have a background of 33 years in education, beginning in primary schools and moving into special education.

 

I have used Makaton signing extensively for the last 24 years. Makaton is a language programme developed to support people with communication difficulties, and is intended to be used alongside speech.

I am a licensed Makaton tutor and Ambassador, and I also use Makaton with song in my videos and Song and Sign groups. 

I am based in Barrow-in-Furness, Cumbria.

I have a passion for singing and have used this throughout my career. I am currently studying song therapy, which focuses on using song to promote well-being in community settings.
